The Senior Internal Auditor serves as a strategic advisor to the organization, leading the execution of financial, operational, risk-based, corporate governance, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits for Zebra's domestic and international operations.
Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the Senior Internal Auditor oversees the indirect supervision of Internal Auditor Staff and Interns.
Responsibilities:
Plan, lead, and execute internal audit projects focused on financial, operational, and compliance/governance aspects, delivering value-driven recommendations to business leaders.
Utilize comprehensive business insights to identify emerging risk areas across Zebra's global operations and provide guidance on industry best practices and process enhancement.
Collaborate with the Internal Audit Analytics Advisor to develop continuous auditing techniques and data analytics within the department.
Lead or support the execution of compliance audits related to US Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) legislation, advising business leaders on optimal control frameworks.
Engage in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) activities to assess the primary strategic, operational, reporting, and compliance risks, consulting with management on progress in addressing these risks.
Work alongside Internal Audit leaders to continuously enhance the Internal Audit department.Qualifications:
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Management Information Systems, etc.)
5+ years of pertinent work experience (e.g., auditing, consulting, finance/operations, IT/security), including at least 2 years in auditing roles.
Candidates with a background in public accounting or consulting may be considered with 3+ years of experience or relevant Zebra experience, including participation in the FDP program.Able to work a hybrid schedule.
Able to travel up to 25% annually, including international travel.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., CIA, CISA, or other certifications) or an advanced degree preferred.
Familiarity with IIA methodology and standards preferred.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of core business processes (e.g., Accounting, Financial Reporting, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Inventory Management, Sales, Accounts Receivable & Credit, Fixed Assets, Payroll, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to communicate and influence at various organizational levels.
Basic knowledge of IT and security technologies.
Experience in project management, managing competing priorities, and adhering to tight deadlines.
Strong judgment and commitment to achieving results.
Creative and entrepreneurial mindset.
Capable of critical thinking and problem-solving.
Works effectively in an agile, team-oriented environment, focused on motivating and mentoring staff while embracing diverse perspectives.
