Position Overview

Role Summary: The Internal Auditor plays a crucial role in supporting the execution of all stages of the comprehensive audit process across the healthcare system, culminating in the preparation of detailed reports on findings. Internal Auditors engage in audits and advisory initiatives that encompass a wide range of activities, focusing on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks throughout the healthcare framework, including potential joint ventures. In this capacity, the Internal Auditor will cultivate an extensive understanding of various business operations and the corresponding risks and controls linked to intricate, multi-disciplinary processes. Collaborating with the audit lead and management, they will contribute to delivering thorough and insightful analyses to leadership, partnering with them to formulate corrective measures that address identified risks while balancing the requirements of the auditee with OSF clinical and operational standards.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree, or an Associate's Degree coupled with 2 years of experience in Internal Audit or related business or operational process review/audit.
Additional Skills/Knowledge:
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience within the healthcare sector.
  • Competence in statistical analysis, sampling methodologies, and reporting techniques.
  • Licensure/Certifications: CPA, CMA, CIA, CISA, or CFE, with a commitment to obtaining certification within two years of starting the position.
Other Skills/Knowledge:
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple issues and coordinate various initiatives effectively.
  • Adaptability to change is essential.
