Key Responsibilities

The Grants Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional patient experience while executing vital administrative tasks in a dynamic and efficient setting. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the organizational grant calendar, tracking proposals, reports, deadlines, and funding opportunities.
  • Collaborating with team members to brainstorm and develop grant proposals and reports.
  • Drafting Letters of Intent (LOIs), grant reports, and proposals.
  • Coordinating the initiation of new grants, ensuring all relevant staff are informed about reporting deadlines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Facilitating the proposal process through effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring grant expenditures in partnership with the Finance Department.
  • Researching and identifying new funding opportunities through newsletters and online platforms.
  • Conducting special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, ideally in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of three years of proven experience in research, grant development, proposal writing, and financial reporting, preferably within a non-profit or governmental context.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Proficiency in utilizing search engines and tools such as Raisers Edge and SharePoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and persuasive writing abilities.
  • Adeptness in researching, analyzing, and synthesizing information to evaluate grant opportunities.
  • Familiarity with interpreting complex documents, including grant requirements and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week.
