Job Title: Pharmacy Manager

Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Manager at Walgreens, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting a positive pharmacy experience. You will be responsible for leading a team of pharmacists and technicians, ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy, and maintaining high standards of patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Experience:
    Engage patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve patient issues in a timely manner and answer questions to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Operations:
    Counsel patients and answer questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, contraindications, patient information privacy, generics, less expensive medicines, and over-the-counter products. Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
  • Leadership and Management:
    Manage pharmacy staff performance by overseeing the training of pharmacy staff and conducting formal performance reviews. Identify high potential team members and proactively collaborate with Store Manager to manage career progression.
  • Business Performance Management:
    Analyze performance data including pharmacy financials, customer service, and inventory. Manage pharmacy asset protection activities and oversee inventory management.

Requirements:

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire
  • At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance billing
