Diagnostic Imaging Specialist
At UCLA Health, we are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in conducting diagnostic breast imaging procedures utilizing various mammography equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic breast imaging procedures utilizing various mammography equipment
- Patient education and equipment setup
- Adherence to quality assurance procedures
- Ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality
- Reviewing radiology requests and coordinating exams with other services
- Maintaining accurate records and adhering to departmental protocols and hospital policies
- Participating in equipment maintenance and supply management
- Upholding professionalism and customer service standards
Requirements:
- ARRT license - required
- CRT Mammography license - required
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- At least 1 year of experience in Breast Imaging - required
- Associate's Degree or Higher - preferred
- Ability to identify and recognize contraindications for exams
- Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks to completion within the time allotted
- Ability to respond efficiently to expressed needs of referring services, physicians, and patients
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
