Key Responsibilities:

As an Acquisition Logistician, you will be responsible for:

  • Formulating and drafting comprehensive logistics plans, including:
    • Acquisition Strategy Plans
    • Life Cycle Sustainment Plans
    • Performance Work Statements
    • Item Unique Identification Plans
    • Training Plans
    • Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation Plans
    • Maintenance Plans
    • Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS)
  • Supporting the development and review of logistics documentation, providing essential input for program reviews, milestone decisions, budget submissions, cost estimates, and risk evaluations.
  • Analyzing and calculating key metrics such as Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Operational Availability, and Maintenance Cost per Hour.
  • Identifying and developing logistics budget requirements across various domains, including transportation, training, and maintenance.
  • Reviewing and updating Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) studies and program documentation in multiple areas, such as supply, maintenance, and configuration management.
  • Tracking retrograde equipment and other necessary actions.

Experience Required:

Candidates should possess:

  • Experience in preparing and editing Department of Defense (DOD) technical documents.
  • Expertise in Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analysis of complex systems.
  • Acquisition logistics support experience in relevant Program Offices.

Clearance Requirement:

Applicants must hold an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A Master's Degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field, along with ten years of relevant experience, including five years in acquisition logistics.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in the same fields with twelve years of applicable experience, including seven years in acquisition logistics, may substitute for the Master's Degree.

Work Environment:

This position allows for a hybrid work model, with a combination of onsite and remote work.
