Educational Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program is mandatory.
Experience Required: A minimum of one year of supervisory experience is preferred; however, the facility is open to training.
Licensure and Certification: Must possess a current New York State RN license, along with CPR, Accucheck, and IV Therapy certifications. Training opportunities are available.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Act as a resource for staff in clinical and managerial decision-making, delegating tasks as necessary.
- Engage in and ensure proper assessment of residents, validating the clinical decisions made by nursing staff.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and communication of individualized care plans for residents.
- Conduct regular rounds on nursing units to ensure compliance with established nursing standards and that residents' needs are met.
- Oversee documentation practices of nursing staff, addressing any issues and reporting to the Director of Nursing.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
Personnel Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with interdepartmental personnel and other facility departments to ensure services meet residents' needs.
- Identify staffing needs and facilitate appropriate staff assignments within established staffing patterns.
- Hold regular meetings with staff to identify and address problem areas and enhance service quality.
- Occasionally fulfill the role of staff nurse or provide direct care to residents as required.
Compensation: Up to $83,000 - $85,000
Training Opportunities: Facility willing to provide training.
