We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Accounting Manager to become an integral part of our financial team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Job Overview: The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the accounting division, ensuring precise financial documentation, and overseeing daily accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in the construction, engineering, or residential building sectors and demonstrate expertise in utilizing JD Edwards, Sage 100, or comparable ERP systems. This position requires on-site presence, and the Accounting Manager will lead a team of up to four accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and direct the daily activities of the accounting division, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing.
  • Guarantee accurate and timely financial reporting along with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and evaluate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of four accounting staff members.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process effectively.
  • Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and support strategic business decisions.
  • Utilize ERP systems such as JD Edwards, Sage 100, or similar to ensure accurate financial records and enhance accounting operations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and updates in accounting regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar capacity within the construction, engineering, or residential building industry.
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards, Sage 100, or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Irving, Texas.
