Emergency Medical Services Instructor

Position Overview:
The Health Sciences Division at Pensacola State College is seeking qualified individuals to serve as part-time instructors for our Emergency Medical Services (EMS) curriculum. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students through various instructional methods, including in-person classes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate learning by instructing students in EMS courses.
- Design and develop course materials and curricula that meet educational standards.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Engage in program assessment and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Uphold the standards and policies of both the College and the Health Sciences Division.
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess the following:
- An Associate degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in the EMS sector.
- Current certification as a Paramedic in Florida.
- Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) provider certification.
- Preferred certifications in ACLS, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and/or BTLS (Basic Trauma Life Support).
Successful completion of a criminal background check is mandatory for all candidates. Instructors are expected to be proficient in the use of technology pertinent to their assigned courses.
Compensation:
Compensation for Adjunct Faculty is determined on an hourly basis according to the level of academic degree held:
- Bachelor's Degree or lower: $31.00 per hour
- Master's Degree: $34.00 per hour
- Doctorate: $37.00 per hour
