Position Overview

The Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist plays a crucial role in supporting medical professionals in the performance of interventional procedures. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and patient care skills.

Certification Requirements
  • ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS: Basic Life Support
  • PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • CHEMO: Chemotherapy Certification
  • TNCC: Trauma Nursing Core Course
  • EFM: Electronic Fetal Monitoring
  • Tech Cert Verification: National Certification
  • ENPC: Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
  • State License Verification: Required
  • NURSYS Verification: RN, LPN/LVN, AP
  • NIH Stroke Certification: Required
  • CPI: Crisis Prevention Institute Certification
  • Medication Test: Pharmacology Competency Exam
Job Responsibilities
  • Work a schedule of 4-10 hour shifts weekly.
  • Participate in 1 to 2 call shifts per week and 1 weekend every 6 weeks.
  • Assist physicians in performing interventional neuro, vascular, and CT/US guided procedures.
  • Utilize experience with EPIC, Siemens single and Bi-plane equipment, and McKesson PACS.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing as the first assist to the physician, along with circulating, filming, and charging exams in EPIC.
  • Bring 1-3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology, specifically in Vascular Interventional Radiology.
Essential Qualifications
  • ARRT(R) Certification: Required
  • BLS Certification: Required
  • KY Radiation Operator's License: Must be obtained before start date
Additional Information
  • AHA certifications are mandatory.
  • Certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, and ENPC must be renewed every 2 years.
  • ONC certification is required for roles involving Oncology, Chemotherapy, Biotherapy, and Bone Marrow Transplant.
  • Tech Certification Verification is necessary for Cath Lab Technologists, Sterile Processing Technologists, and Certified OR/Surgical Technologists.
