We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Pediatrics Neurology team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our department's clinical practices.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide evidence-based treatments.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, primary nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor surgical procedures as needed.
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to departmental research, and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pediatric neurology.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
- ATLS, BCLS, and NP certification upon hire.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
This role requires standing, walking, and lifting frequently, as well as occasional climbing, balancing, and reaching. The ability to work in a dynamic environment with varying levels of noise and distractions is essential.
