We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Applied Scientist to join our Amazon Next Generation Developer Experience (NGDE) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art AI algorithms and systems for developers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement large-scale machine learning models for business applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI-powered solutions
  • Conduct research and experimentation to improve the performance and scalability of our AI systems
  • Work closely with customers and the academic community to understand their needs and develop innovative solutions
Requirements
  • PhD or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, engineering, mathematics)
  • 6+ years of experience in applied research and development
  • 3+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications
  • Strong programming skills in Java, C++, Python, or related languages
  • Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with large-scale machine learning systems and system performance and scalability
  • Experience conducting research in a corporate setting
