Criminal Justice Policy Expert Wanted

The American Bar Association is seeking a highly skilled attorney to lead our Criminal Justice Section. As the point person for policy development, you will oversee our ongoing project on best practices in criminal justice. Your expertise in legal writing and research will drive the creation of effective policies and standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and promote ABA criminal justice policies, including the Criminal Justice Standards.
  • Work with members to find and file amicus opportunities based on ABA criminal justice policies.
  • Edit and arrange for publication of Criminal Justice Standards.

Requirements:

  • JD and admission to the bar in at least one jurisdiction.
  • At least 4 years working in relevant specialized area of law.
  • High level of skills in legal writing and research, oral and written communications, meeting facilitation, and organizational skills.

Estimated Salary: $73,145 - $82,539 per year
