Responsibilities- Enter orders and schedule appointments and surgeries while ensuring optimal revenue for services performed at Southcoast facilities.
- Complete pre-registration, including demographic documentation and insurance verification, to determine patient liability.
- Collect payment electronically from self-pay and out-of-network patients, adhering to Federal and State regulations.
- Obtain prior authorization for out-of-network payers and monitor Medical Necessity compliance and Status C review on surgical cases.
- Collaborate with OR and Ancillary departments to ensure continuity of care and avoid scheduling conflicts.
- Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certificate in Medical Terminology is required.
- Strong keyboard skills with the ability to type 40 words per minute.
- Proven exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate with physicians, patients, and third-party payers.
