In the role of Resource Management Specialist at the UF Health Cancer Center (UFHCC), you will oversee the administration of shared resources managed by UFHCC.

Your responsibilities will include managing grant allocations, monitoring effort and cost recovery, and engaging in various activities that support the objectives and mission of our shared resources.

Success in this position requires professionalism, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.


Key Responsibilities:


Assist Shared Resource Director(s) in managing staff payroll and leave requests, including overseeing systems and payroll approvals as necessary.

Prepare regular metrics reports for shared resources leadership, collaborating closely with the Shared Resource Director(s) and Research Intelligence to analyze and refine collected data.

Collaborate with Research Development to identify publications and grants that showcase Shared Resource utilization, coordinating the creation of impactful narratives and preparing examples for administrative meetings.

Receive, train, and relay requests for shared resource utilization to the appropriate UFHCC managed teams, providing support in developing MOUs and other necessary documentation.

This position is designed for experienced professionals, ideally suited for candidates with a background in research administration or administrative support within an academic research setting.

Compensation:
$45,000-$55,000; commensurate with education and experience.
This is a TEAMS position, eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, retirement options, and paid leave.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and two years of pertinent experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Research Administration, or a related discipline.

Three to five years of experience in research administration, shared resource management, or a similar field, with a preference for experience in an NCI-designated cancer center or complex NIH-funded environment.

Basic understanding of the programs and processes of primary granting agencies, including but not limited to NIH, NSF, DOD, and other federal sponsors, as well as state and private foundation regulations.

Experience and/or knowledge of research operations within a complex academic institution, with preference given to experience in an NCI designated cancer center or similar NIH funded center.
