Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our dynamic team at Inova. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiation Oncology department.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, tailoring your approach to their individual needs and levels of understanding.
- Position patients for treatment, verifying set-up and beam directional devices to ensure accurate delivery.
- Act as a liaison between physicians and machine staff, utilizing your technical expertise to resolve complex treatment issues.
- Document patient records, detecting and reporting any errors or discrepancies.
- Perform daily quality assurance on linear accelerators and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- An Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
- American Registered Radiologic Technologist certification or registry eligibility within one year of employment.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
