Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) plays a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, working under the direction of a Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions in a dynamic environment.

Licenses and Certifications

Must possess and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification, with a preference for current valid CPR certification.

Qualifications

Education: A degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program is required. Experience: 0-1 years of experience in a related field is preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, incorporating therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care, providing additional observations and insights as needed.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, offering additional guidance and expertise.
• Provide instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Other duties as assigned by the Physical Therapist or management team.
