Handyman Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Handyman to join our team at WinnCompanies. As a Handyman, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance tasks in various areas of our properties, including appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, and basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist the maintenance team in ensuring our properties are clean, functional, and inviting
  • Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures
  • Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities
  • Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • General custodial skills as evidenced by experience in property maintenance or janitorial work
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC
  • Ability to adhere precisely to a strict routine maintenance schedule
  • Ability to speak and understand basic English
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Vocational or technical training
  • Certificates of Fitness - S12, S13, S14, P99
