Job Overview

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Senior Java Automation Tester with over a decade of experience in the Information Technology sector. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in crafting Java web applications or web services for a minimum of three years, coupled with at least five years of expertise in developing Automation Test Scripts. A strong understanding of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies is crucial, along with comprehensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and sustain Java web applications and web services.
  • Create and implement Automation Test Scripts, focusing on BDD/TDD methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with secure software development practices throughout the entire development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into technical specifications and application code.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor teams in the design, coding, testing, deployment, and implementation of multi-threaded applications utilizing Java technologies.
  • Engage with business and IT teams to comprehend requirements and facilitate effective communication among stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to ensure application modifications meet technical specifications.
  • Employ Agile Scrum methodologies for project development and management.
  • Coordinate with business partners, project stakeholders, senior management, QA, and support/technical specialists to guarantee project success.
  • Exhibit strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder (for over 5 years).
  • Ability to secure IRS Federal government MBI clearance, which includes:
    • Must be a US Citizen
    • No outstanding back taxes (State or Federal)
    • All Federal Student Loans must be current
    • No criminal history
    • Good credit standing
  • At least 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • A minimum of three years in developing Java web applications or web services.
  • At least 3 years in creating Automation Test Scripts.
  • Familiarity with BDD/TDD methodologies.
  • Proficient in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with jQuery, Bootstrap, Java 8, Cucumber, Selenium, Apache Tomcat, the Spring Framework, and Oracle databases.
  • Expertise in designing, coding, testing, deploying, and implementing multi-threaded applications using Java technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of secure software development practices.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC phases with experience in Waterfall, Agile, and Spiral Development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) Clearance.
  • Prior experience with IRS systems.
  • Familiarity with Section 508 Standards.
  • Experience with IRS.
