Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at MDPerm. As a Behavioral Health Provider, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to inform treatment plans and services for detainees with serious mental illness or substance use disorders.
  • Provide direct mental health services, including on-site counseling, individual and group psychotherapy, and substance abuse education.
  • Develop and implement specialized programming within a Modified Therapeutic Treatment Community model.
  • Collaborate with medical, contract staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and effective treatment.
  • Develop and manage patient treatment plans, monitor progress, and provide post-discharge follow-up as needed.
  • Provide training and clinical education to medical, ICE, and contract staff on mental health topics, including suicide prevention and victims of torture.
  • Coordinate with HQ Behavioral Health Unit for continuity of care and placement in appropriate settings.
Requirements
  • Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an APA-approved program.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a Licensed Psychologist at the independent level.
  • Current, permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice independently.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing and managing a new mental health treatment program and a Modified Therapeutic Community treatment model.
  • Experience working in a detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting.
