KinderCare Learning Companies is a leader in early childhood education, and we're seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you'll play a vital role in providing healthy and nutritious meals for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks that meet the dietary needs of our children.
  • Order food and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and inventory management.
  • Dispense and store medication, as required, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Support center staff and leadership in achieving goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with food safety and handling procedures, including food allergies and cross-contamination avoidance.
  • Ability to follow menus and prepare sufficient quantities of food for our center population.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating serving portions.
  • Food Handler's License or willingness to obtain.
  • At least one year of institutional cooking experience, with food ordering experience highly desirable.
  • Two or more years working with children, highly desirable.
