We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Bmore POWER Outreach Worker. This role is part of the Bmore POWER team, which provides harm reduction outreach, education, and advocacy in Baltimore City.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct harm reduction outreach in communities across Baltimore City, engaging with individuals and providing education on harm reduction techniques, including naloxone distribution and safer sex practices.
- Collaborate with the Outreach Coach and Bmore POWER Coordinators to identify strategies and techniques to increase the positive impact of Bmore POWER's outreach.
- Attend virtual and in-person meetings, including weekly Bmore POWER All Staff meetings and BHSB All Staff meetings.
- Complete all required documentation, including naloxone and other harm reduction supply distribution, overdose reversals, and resource connections.
- Represent BHSB and the Bmore POWER team on community workgroups, committees, and coalitions aligned with BHSB's and Bmore POWER's mission and strategic goals.
- Relevant lived experience or exposure to those who have relevant lived experience with drug use.
- Knowledge of harm reduction framework and harm reduction services.
- Commitment to engaging with people whose lives are impacted by drug use.
- Demonstrated commitment to cultural humility and racial justice.
- Proficiency in or willingness to learn Microsoft Office programs and electronic systems.
