Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for evaluating patients' speech and language abilities, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing therapy to patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech pathology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' speech and language abilities and develop treatment plans to address their needs.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, using a variety of techniques and strategies to promote communication and language skills.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to speech and language services.
Requirements
  • M.S. or M.A. in Speech Pathology from an accredited university program.
  • Licensure with the State of Michigan.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or in Clinical Fellowship Year.
  • Membership in ASHA.
