Job Title: Dean of Arts and Sciences

Centralia College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic leader to serve as the Dean of Arts and Sciences. This is a key leadership position that oversees the administration of the Arts and Sciences division, which comprises four areas of study: Arts, Humanities, and Communications; Science, Engineering, and Math; Social Sciences; and Exploratory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all assigned instructional areas of study.
  • Lead, train, motivate, and evaluate personnel.
  • Develop and implement budget and operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with faculty to plan, develop, support, and implement curriculum and instructional activities.
  • Represent the college at community and state meetings and conferences.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in education or a discipline related to one or more areas within the assigned areas of study.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience teaching at a college level.
  • Experience evaluating instructional activities.
  • Previous experience supervising faculty and staff.

This is a twelve (12) month per year, full-time administrative exempt position. The salary is $108,912 - $108,912 (DOQ/DOE) annually depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The state of Washington provides a comprehensive benefits package for state employees.
