Job Title: Pediatric Dental Assistant

At Great Big Smiles Pediatric Dentistry by Nathan A. Burns, DMD, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering top-notch services.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare patients for procedures and exams by explaining the process and answering any questions they may have.
* Set up and break down instrument trays, sterilize and disinfect instruments, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
* Take digital radiographs and maintain accurate patient charting and notes.
* Assist the pediatric dentist and other assistants as needed.
* Provide patient and practice supportive services, including personal assistance, medical attention, and emotional support.

Requirements:

* Prior experience as a dental assistant is preferred.
* Radiology certification is preferred but not required.
* EDDA certification is preferred but not required.
* Experience in Open Dental is preferred.
* Outstanding positive attitude and demeanor.
* Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Great Big Smiles Pediatric Dentistry by Nathan A. Burns, DMD is a privately owned pediatric dental practice specializing in the treatment of children and adolescents ages 0-18. Our practice is dedicated to providing a positive, fun, and drama-free environment for our patients and staff.

We are located in Metairie, LA, and our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We offer a great compensation package and a supportive work environment.
