Job Title: Epic Senior Analyst - HIM

Join our team as an Epic Senior Analyst - HIM and take on a challenging role that requires expertise in healthcare information management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the implementation, build, and modification of the Epic application, collaborating with stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and access.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a primary support contact for application end-users, providing timely and effective assistance to resolve issues and improve user experience.
  • Initiate the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
  • Perform thorough analysis of information technology in clinical work processes, validating the impacts to the workflow and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with trainers on application changes and new features, developing documentation and training strategies to ensure successful adoption.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, the business community, and end-users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business/clinical needs, providing regular updates and progress reports.
  • Mentor and transfer knowledge to junior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Take the lead in team application projects as assigned by Senior Manager, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Remain knowledgeable about UHealth's policies, procedures, and business operations, adhering to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguarding University assets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Epic certifications in Hospital Coding Administration, Deficiency Tracking Administration, Release of Information Administration, or Identity Administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization.
  • Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
