Job Summary

As a HVAC Service Technician with Dilling Group Inc., you will be responsible for performing troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance tasks on commercial and light industrial HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Perform assigned HVAC/R maintenance and troubleshooting tasks safely in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC equipment as needed.
  • Equipment Diagnostics: Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.
  • Refrigeration Equipment Service: Service, diagnose, and troubleshoot a variety of refrigeration equipment such as coolers, reach in coolers, walk-in boxes, cooler display cases, and ice machines.
  • Complex System Maintenance: Use your HVAC/R skills and experience to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medium to large sized complex heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems and associated control systems.
  • Pre-Installation and Repair: Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, gathering material, and coordinating on-site work with customer and dispatcher.
  • Documentation and Communication: Complete required electronic documentation daily on a handheld device and work independently, and as part of a team, to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frame.
  • Company Vehicle Operation: Operate company vehicle to complete service calls in a specified territory.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3/5 years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial and/or industrial HVAC/R equipment.
  • Refrigeration Equipment Experience: Experience servicing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting a variety of refrigeration equipment such as coolers, reach in coolers, walk-in boxes, cooler display cases, and ice machines.
  • Certifications: EPA universal certification.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred Qualifications: OSHA 10 hour preferred.

  • Blueprint Reading: Familiarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materials.
  • Background Check: Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening.
  • MVR Check: Ability to pass MVR check.
  • Travel: Ability to travel, as needed, for projects.
