Job Summary:

The Operations Support Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the procurement of IT equipment, licensing, and other IT assets needed for our clients and for Starfish Computer Corporation. This role requires a blend of administrative expertise, organizational skills, and experience in purchasing to ensure efficient supply chain management and smooth office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing & Procurement

  • Collaborate with the Operations team to source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships with vendors.
  • Manage the procurement of office supplies and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to procurement and financial management.
  • Coordinate the ordering, returns processing, inventory management, shipping, and handling of IT assets.

Warehouse Management

  • Develop and implement efficient inventory management systems to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of IT assets.
  • Coordinate the removal and destruction of IT assets, including documentation and notification.

Yearly Renewals

  • Manage the renewal process for software and hardware licenses, ensuring timely ordering and application to client accounts.
  • Provide renewal schedules to clients for sign-off and ensure compliance with company policies.

Office Management

  • Assist in the oversight of daily office operations, including reception duties, scheduling, and facilities management.
  • Coordinate and manage office supplies and inventory, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to the President and other team members as needed.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Office Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in purchasing licenses, and computer hardware and software.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing procedures and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
