Key Responsibilities
We seek individuals who will embody the principles of the Select Medical Way, which emphasizes patient-centered care, enhancing community health, fostering continuous improvement, and delivering ethical, high-quality service.
As a Pharmacist, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing clinical support to the pharmacy operations in a dynamic hospital setting.
- Ensuring the pharmacy is adequately stocked with necessary medications at all times.
- Educating patients on their prescribed medications for use after discharge.
- Assisting in the training and development of new pharmacy staff.
- Engaging in monitoring patient medication therapies.
- Promoting a culture of continuous quality enhancement.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of patient needs, ensuring that each individual feels informed, understood, and valued. A commitment to delivering superior care and an ability to solve problems creatively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Minimum requirements include:
- Successful completion of all educational prerequisites for state licensure.
- Current licensure in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if mandated by state regulations.
- Maintenance of an active license in the state of practice.
Preferred qualifications that will enhance your success include:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) along with an advanced degree or completion of a hospital pharmacy residency.
