Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician Lead to join our team in Washington, DC. This role will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC, commercial refrigeration, boilers, and boiler room related equipment.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and train junior HVAC technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform complex tasks.
  2. Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failure and downtime.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve overall system performance.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to provide excellent customer service.
  5. Maintain accurate records of equipment readings, maintenance history, and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Trade school or vocational high school degree in HVAC technology or a related field.
  • Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia Journeyperson's HVAC License.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, including supervisory experience.
  • Type II and III CFC Certification.
  • Ability to review confidential US security information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Universal CFC Certification.
  • Excellent knowledge of operating and servicing entire building and support systems, including HVAC, Steam, HHW, DDC, refrigeration, pneumatic, and building safety equipment.
  • Ability to observe and comply with all standard safety codes and practice.
