About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Product Design Engineer to join our team at Cummins. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for Cummins products, including electronic control units, tools, sensors, actuators, and harnesses.
  • Investigate and resolve electronic application and systems problems, and document results.
  • Apply and support the improvement of electronic application and systems development processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with product and software development teams to deliver control system designs, verified and calibrated software features, and builds.
  • Make decisions in the areas of electronic system design, requirements, calibration, and test that impact the quality and performance of individual calibrated features and/or components.
Requirements
  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
  • Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
  • Prior entry level engineering equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required.
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support production to meet Annual Operating Plan.
  • Product Problem Solving projects for internal and external customers.
  • Product tailoring projects per AOP for increasing sales and profits.
  • Military specific activities.
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience, range: $76,000-114,000. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
