Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Designer at our Studio in Los Angeles, CA. As an Associate Designer, you'll assist in the design of handbags and small leather goods, creating sketches, CADs, tech packs, and line sheets. You'll ensure product quality and brand consistency while working closely with our Senior Designer and Design Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop designs from initial direction to final sample, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage CADs, tech packs, and specs, ensuring products meet customer needs and development timelines.
  • Create and update line sheets, including sketches, names, and materials.
  • Collaborate with the design team to manage the tech pack process, partner with PD and Production teams, and support major milestone meetings.
  • Communicate sample arrival timelines, alert the team to late or pending items, and manage sample coordination and organization.
  • Attend weekly Design team and PD team meetings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
  • Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of materials, patterns, and techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and take creative direction.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for fashion design.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Illustrator and PhotoShop, with strong sketching and illustration skills.
  • Strong understanding of the full cycle of design development from concept to commercialization.
  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience designing and developing handbags and accessories.
  • Understanding of our brand aesthetic and lifestyle.
