Job Summary

Under limited supervision, this role is responsible for performing various tasks in the retail area, including setup, stocking, clerical, cashiering, cleaning, and money management. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess high integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cashier duties, including change-making, accurate ring-up of sales, and making corrections
  • Count cash, validate balances, report discrepancies, and enter sales
  • Comply with department's cash register and pricing methodology
  • Maintain cash registers in working order
  • Weigh items sold by weight to determine prices
  • Maintain knowledge of all prices, food specials, and food portions for accurate charging
Requirements
  • Completion of high school or GED is preferred but not required
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, count money, and make change
  • Prior experience working with cash registers and money handling is preferred but not required
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with adults
  • Ability to work as a team member and independently
  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to cope effectively with stressful situations and time constraints
