Job Title: Local Contract - CT Tech

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for capturing diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computerized tomography equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
  • Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes
  • Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
  • Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
  • Explain scanning procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required

Qualifications:

  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
