Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our special education team. As a K-12 special education specialist, you will work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure students receive comprehensive and coordinated services.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations to determine students' abilities and limitations in various functional areas.
• Develop tailored treatment plans based on evaluation results, focusing on improving daily activities and school-related tasks.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to enhance students' abilities and promote independence.
• Provide ongoing assessment and monitoring of students' progress toward goals, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with the school team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
• Educate school staff on strategies to support students' occupational therapy goals, promoting a culture of inclusivity and support.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing records.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state license in Oregon.
• Experience working with school-aged children, including those with disabilities or special needs.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in occupational therapy, with a focus on adapting to diverse learning environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, prioritizing student success and well-being.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
