Job Title: Psychological Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychological Specialist to join our team at The GEO Group, Inc.

About the Role:

The Psychological Specialist will be responsible for providing full-range mental health services to inmates, including assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and case management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mental health interviews, screenings, and evaluations to determine appropriate services and treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling, as well as case management services to ensure continuity of care.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely documentation of mental health services provided.
  • Collaborate with security, medical, and other departments to address inmate-related mental health concerns.
  • Respond to psychological emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in mental health or related field.
  • Full licensure, provisional licensure, or registered intern status as a mental health provider.
  • One year of experience providing mental health services in an institutional setting.
  • Ability to work in crisis situations and develop clear and concise reports.
