Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Oncology Research at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with cancer, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, and participating in research studies to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with cancer, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate in research studies to improve patient outcomes, including data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in oncology nursing practice, including evidence-based guidelines and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration as a Professional Nurse in New York and registration as a Nurse Practitioner in New York.
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Oncology or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience in oncology, with a focus on research and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform practice decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on patient-centered care and quality improvement.
