About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Educator to join our team at AdventHealth Sebring Wauchula Lake Placid. As a Nurse Educator, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our nursing workforce by providing leadership in the development of staff education at the unit level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Education Manager to identify educational goals and coordinates training process for staff
  • Design and develop curricula, courses, and programs of study
  • Teach and guide learners in both classroom and practice settings
  • Evaluate learning and incorporate principles of adult learning in planning, implementation, and evaluation of education programs
  • Plan, prepare, and maintain materials for use in educational programs
  • Assist with students and practicing nurses to identify their learning needs, strengths, and opportunities
  • Coordinate orientation of new staff, including agency nurses, into the organization
  • Develop and coordinate education plans related to initial and ongoing competency validation
  • Develop and coordinate core education to address patient population-specific nursing care
  • Develop and coordinate content for learning opportunities based on evidence-based practice
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing with ICU in-patient nursing experience
  • Current registration with Florida State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse or licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement
  • Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • PALS/NRP based on unit coverage (must obtain within 90 days of hire if required by unit)
