Job Description

At Connexity, a Taboola company, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Marketplace Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing our marketplace platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Lead the design and implementation of complex features and components for the Connexity marketplace platform, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • System Optimization: Analyze and optimize system performance to handle large-scale data and high-traffic loads, implementing improvements to enhance overall system efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and software design.
  • Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, quality, and security practices.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues, implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, proposing and implementing new technologies and methodologies to improve our marketplace platform.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on building and scaling marketplace or e-commerce platforms.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, Python, SQL, and experience with database management, cloud services, and microservices architecture.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Kubernetes, MySQL, BigTable, BigQuery, Oracle, Hadoop, Beam, Dataflow, Google PubSub, Kafka.
  • Experience with programmatic management of digital ad platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, etc) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC) best practices.
