Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Admissions Clerk to join our team at the Department of Social Services.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct admission procedures for patients being admitted to a psychiatric and chemical dependency facility
* Collect and record personal, medical, and legal information
* Greet patients on arrival and review legal documents
* Enter patient data into the electronic health record
* Coordinate with various professional providers
* Assist with patient safety checks and searches
* Respond to phone calls and visitors

Requirements:

* Knowledge of medical terminology, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software applications
* Record keeping practices and modern office equipment
* Business English, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation
* Ability to efficiently communicate with patients, peers, and others
* Complete detailed tasks with a high level of accuracy
