Job Title: Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Brooklyn Bridge Park. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on park equipment, including vehicles, mowers, and other machinery. You will also be responsible for overseeing the preventative maintenance program for all park equipment and instructing park operations staff on proper maintenance and operation procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on park equipment, including vehicles, mowers, and other machinery
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance program for all park equipment
  • Instruct park operations staff on proper maintenance and operation procedures
  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical defects and failures in park equipment
  • Manage inventory of equipment and parts
  • Communicate with Director of Facilities and relevant staff on maintenance and repair needs

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license required
  • NYC residency required
  • Years' experience in small engine/equipment repair
  • Previous experience in a facility maintenance and/or park setting preferred
  • Experience managing and organizing inventory
