We are seeking a skilled Master Technician to join our team at Sunroad Automotive in Chula Vista. As a Master Technician, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services on Toyota vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Detect and diagnose mechanical issues using computer diagnostic equipment and visual inspections">
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tune-ups">
  • Diagnose and repair or replace vehicle parts, such as brakes, suspension, and air conditioning systems">
  • Communicate with customers and service advisors to provide updates and estimates">
  • Inspect and test new vehicles for damage and record findings">
  • Train and supervise apprentice technicians">
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Minimum 4 years' experience as an automotive technician">
  • High school diploma or equivalent">
  • Valid California driver's license and safe driving record">
  • Able to regularly lift 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds">
  • Must keep abreast of federal, state, and local regulations affecting operations and comply with hazardous waste disposal and OSHA policies">
  • Able to perform all essential functions of the job description">

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in eight automotive specialty areas">
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair and mechanical skills">
  • Excellent technical and customer service skills">
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills">
  • Ability to read work orders and perform repairs in a timely fashion">
  • Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues">
  • Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software">
  • Ability to read service and repair manuals">

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience.
