Psychiatric Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pschiatric Care Specialist to join our team at the Department of Veteran Affairs. As a key member of our multidisciplinary mental health team, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric medical care to patients, including diagnostic evaluations, pharmacotherapy, and psychotherapy.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Psychiatric Care: Assess, consult, and treat patients with a broad range of clinical problems, including post-traumatic stress disorder, mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, and psychiatric disorders over the life cycle of the Veteran population.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and develop effective treatment plans.
- Manage Clinical Responsibilities: Supervise residents, participate in resident supervision, and contribute to the academic appointment to the University of Washington School of Medicine.
- Meet Performance Expectations: Achieve annual performance goals and participate in performance evaluations.
- Participate in Incentive Programs: Eligible for relocation, educational debt reduction, and recruitment signing incentives.
- Education and Certification: Must be a licensed psychiatrist with a strong background in general outpatient psychiatry.
- Skills and Experience: Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and experience with buprenorphine certification.
