About the Role

The Emergency Observation Unit (EOU) at Northeast Georgia Health System is a 24-bed unit that specializes in the care of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with disease processes including, but not limited to: acute myocardial infarction (AMI), transient ischemic attacks (TIA), and other disease processes requiring further medical observation.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Observation Unit. As a RN, you will provide direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process, and coordinate care for assigned patients on a shift to promote the achievement of clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process
  • Coordinate care for assigned patients on a shift to promote the achievement of clinical outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-centered care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
  • Develop and maintain a safe and respectful work environment
Requirements
  • Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia
  • Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required
  • At least 1 year of RN experience - Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN
  • Previous specialty experience preferred
