Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Firematic Supply Company.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. This includes working on automotive, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, as well as small gas engines and other associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with fire apparatus and emergency vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Work with a variety of tools and equipment, including lifts, air compressors, and welding machines
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete projects and meet deadlines
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies

Requirements

  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty truck repair preferred
  • Valid Class CDL B driver's license with Air Brakes or willingness to obtain within the first year
  • ASE and/or EVT certifications a plus
