Job Summary:

This position involves providing respiratory care to patients in alternate sites, working closely with our team to ensure seamless patient transitions. As a Breathing Care Specialist, you will be responsible for administering preventative, rehabilitative, and palliative respiratory care, utilizing your knowledge of respiratory equipment and assessment skills to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient treatment plans and progress, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Review patient plans to ensure accuracy and compliance with ACHC standards.
  • Document procedures, including patient tolerance, side effects, and other relevant information.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate CPAP/BiPAP referrals and authorizations.
  • Maintain inventory control of CPAP/BiPAP supplies for sleep centers, ensuring timely replenishment and availability.
  • Assist with highly technical discharges, preparing patients and caregivers for smooth transitions to home settings.
  • Participate in in-services, educating hospital staff, referrals, and other professionals on clinical issues and equipment usage.
  • Foster effective communication with physicians, referrals, and patients, documenting accurate and timely updates.
  • Retain knowledge of PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials handling procedures, adhering to guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program or Associate's degree in Nursing with valid LPN/RN license.
  • Valid and unrestricted RT clinical license or equivalent nursing licensure in all states serviced by the branch.
  • CPR certification.
  • One year of clinical experience as a Healthcare RT, HME RT, or clinical nurse with Vent experience.
  • Valid driver's license.

What We Offer:
