Key Responsibilities

  • Coach Teachers in Data Analysis: Support new and continuing teachers in analyzing student assessment data, helping them to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop targeted strategies for improvement.
  • Provide Feedback and Support: Offer regular feedback and support to teachers, helping them to refine their instructional practices and improve student outcomes.
  • Model Differentiated Instruction: Demonstrate expertise in differentiated instruction, providing teachers with strategies and techniques for meeting the diverse needs of their students.
  • Align Instruction with Standards: Assist teachers in aligning their instruction with relevant standards, curriculum, and assessment expectations, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education.
  • Develop Coaching Plans: Create detailed coaching plans, outlining focused goals and measures of success, to drive learning cycles and promote teacher growth.
  • Support Teacher Achievement: Use coaching strategies to support teachers in achieving their goals, gradually releasing responsibility for implementing instructional practices to the teacher.
  • Analyze Teacher Practice: Consistently analyze teacher practice through ongoing classroom observations, data analysis, and examination of student work, providing feedback and guidance to support improvement.
  • Track Progress and Evaluate Effectiveness: Monitor student and teacher progress, tracking the effectiveness of coaching and making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Develop Teacher Capacity: Help teachers develop their capacity to collect and analyze multiple sources of data, improving student learning and informing instructional decisions.
  • Design Professional Development: Design professional development sessions around school-wide goals and initiatives, providing teachers with opportunities for growth and development.
  • Teach Reduced Student Load: Teach a reduced student load, allowing for focused attention on coaching and support.
  • Document Student and Family Information: Properly document issues, concerns, and important information concerning students and their families in the Student Information System (SIS).
Requirements
  • Master's Degree: Possess a Master's degree in Curriculum/Instruction or Educational Leadership.
  • Teaching Experience: Have 3-5 years of teaching experience, with a focus on secondary education.
  • Arizona Teacher Certificate: Hold a valid Arizona Teacher Certificate at the secondary level.
  • Online Teaching Experience: Have experience teaching in an online K-12 environment, with a focus on secondary education.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Be able to work onsite in Chandler, AZ, and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
