Job Overview

Position Summary

This role is essential in shaping platform tools and overseeing CI/CD engineering initiatives. The selected candidate will collaborate with both technical and non-technical leadership to promote critical technologies that the organization develops, constructs, and provides as services for both internal teams and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide the DevOps platform team and provide mentorship to junior staff; contribute to the strategic planning and roadmap of DevOps.
  • Architect and implement automated systems for code deployment.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering to design and create software tools that ensure reliable application delivery.
  • Develop code, integrate systems, and configure solutions to enhance Public Cloud-based platforms across the organization.
  • Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes environments.
  • Utilize automation tools such as Terraform to optimize deployment and scaling processes.
  • Maintain a strong interest in emerging technology trends, engage in experimentation with new tools, and participate in both internal and external tech communities.
  • Document infrastructure and processes comprehensively.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in a technical setting.
  • Proficiency with a leading cloud service provider, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably GitHub Actions, Codefresh, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Scrum, DevOps, Continuous Development/Continuous Integration, and automated testing tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, or equivalent technologies.
  • Knowledge in optimizing databases with unique constraints and indexing.
  • Experience with application clustering, load balancing, high availability, and reliability technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effective collaboration with management and engineering teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills for managing multiple initiatives and priorities in complex projects.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash; knowledge of Python is preferred.

Compensation
$155,000-$170,000 per year
