Position Summary:
Keller is on the lookout for a skilled driver and heavy equipment operator holding a valid CDL-B or higher license to join our accomplished geotechnical construction team. Key Responsibilities:
Qualified candidates will ideally possess 1-2 years of experience in the safe operation of vehicles requiring a commercial driver’s license (CDL). Responsibilities include:

  • Operating, inspecting, and maintaining equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Performing rigging, hoisting, and spotting for equipment movement based on written, verbal, or signaled instructions.
  • Conducting soil leveling and ground manipulation for the transport of equipment and materials.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical issues efficiently with strong analytical skills.
  • Completing all job-related tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
  • Operating cement and concrete mixers, air compressors, generators, pumps, and various other power equipment as needed.

Physical Requirements:
In addition to heavy equipment operation, candidates should be prepared to engage in physical labor tasks, which may include:

  • Excavating ditches and trenches using shovels and picks.
  • Backfilling excavations and maintaining equipment.
  • Organizing construction materials and ensuring clean and safe job sites.
  • Safely operating hand and power tools, including jackhammers, drills, and saws.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Hands-on experience as a CDL Driver and Equipment Operator within the construction sector.
  • A self-motivated attitude and willingness to travel.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Capability to navigate confined and cluttered spaces.
  • Experience with OSHA, First Aid, and/or Safety Training is preferred.
  • Specific experience in ground improvement, grouting, and/or earth retention is a plus.
