Key Responsibilities- Provide legal advice and guidance on labor and employment issues, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, and wrongful termination cases.
- Represent clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters, utilizing strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Conduct legal research and analysis, and prepare legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, and appeals.
- Negotiate settlements, mediate disputes, and advocate for clients in court, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a strong work ethic.
- Develop and implement employment policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, ensuring a high level of quality work and client service.
- Collaborate with clients and other attorneys to develop strategies to resolve complex legal issues, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Conduct depositions, examine witnesses, and present evidence to defend or prosecute cases, staying updated with the latest legal trends and developments in labor and employment law.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Labor and Employment Attorney.
- Proven experience in mediation and legal research.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality work and client service.
